COMPANY HISTORY
Established in 1959, Abbeylands Furniture Ltd. started out as furniture manufactures. In 1999, Caroline Horgan – now MD of the company – took over the business from her father. While still supplying foam & fibres to the furniture trade, Caroline quickly developed the business into a specialist designer furnishings wholesaler.
Today Scatter Box is our market-leading interiors brand, with a reputation for quality and inspiring interiors, excellent customer service and a commitment to supporting local manufacturing. Based in Navan, Co. Meath, our 38,000 square foot manufacturing facility allows us to supply private label for renowned multiple retailers both in Ireland and the UK. We also supply bespoke products to furniture manufacturers, hotel and leisure contractors.
Our Scatter Box brand is exclusively designed for the independent retailer. With over 60 years in business, we continually strive to fulfil our customers’ needs.
Our design team believe in being creative with colour and in bringing you the very latest in design and interior trends including our ‘Made with love in Ireland ’ range. This is a perfect nuance of sumptuous textures and powerful prints that will uplift, decorate and sit in your home for years to come. At Scatter Box, we manufacture a substantial part of our cushion collection in Ireland and are firmly committed to support and develop local manufacturing.
Our ‘Designed with Love in Ireland ’ range features lavish digitally printed cushions produced from our own original hand painted and graphic designs. Alongside our extensive range of cushions, we stock a wide range of stylish furniture, original hand painted art, luxurious curtains, bedding and throws, all of which will add a perfect finish to any room.
