It’s not every day that a small business gets to celebrate alongside some of the biggest and best-known brands in the country, so to come away from the eComm Live Awards with not one, but two Highly Commended awards was a very special moment for everyone at Scatter Box. We were absolutely delighted to be recognised in both the B2B eCommerce Website of the Year and DIY, Home, Furniture & Interior Design eCommerce Website of the Year categories. Being shortlisted alongside such a strong line-up of established brands was already a huge achievement for our small team, so to then receive two Highly Commended awards was something we were incredibly proud of.

For us, the awards are a wonderful recognition of the work that goes on behind the scenes to continually develop and improve the Scatter Box online experience. Our website is such an important part of the business, allowing us to showcase our collections, connect with customers and make it easier for both our retail and trade customers to discover our products. There is a huge amount of thought, time and collaboration that goes into creating an eCommerce website that works well, from the customer experience and design to functionality, content and everything in between. Being recognized in two different categories was a fantastic acknowledgement of that ongoing work and the progress we have made.

Of course, while the awards celebrate our website and eCommerce experience, they are also a reflection of the people who have helped us get here. A huge thank you goes to the brilliant team at Mitso — Maeve, Karl, Cait and Lauren. We’re incredibly lucky to have you as part of Team Scatter Box, and it was fantastic to have you there with us on the night to celebrate. Your hard work, support, creativity and expertise have made such a difference, and we’re so grateful for everything you have done to help bring our eCommerce ambitions to life. Having the opportunity to celebrate together made the evening even more special.

Being recognized by the eComm Live Awards is particularly meaningful because so much of the work involved in running and developing an eCommerce business happens behind the scenes. Customers may see the finished website, but there are countless decisions, ideas, conversations, improvements and challenges that go into creating that experience. As a small business with a small team, we are incredibly proud of how much we continue to achieve, and moments like this give us the opportunity to pause and appreciate just how far we have come.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to the eComm Live team and the eComm Awards judges for recognizing the work that goes into building and developing our online presence. To be considered alongside some of the biggest names in the industry was an honor in itself, and receiving two Highly Commended awards made the evening one we won’t forget. It’s fantastic to have the dedication and work of everyone involved acknowledged, and it gives us even more motivation as we continue to develop Scatter Box and our eCommerce offering.

And, of course, a brilliant awards night needs brilliant hosts! A huge thank you to Síle Seoige and Bernard O’Shea for making it such an enjoyable evening. From the awards themselves to the atmosphere, celebrations and conversations throughout the night, it was a fantastic event and a great opportunity to spend time with others working across the eCommerce industry.
